Instead of spending more than $5000 to convert a motorhome to your needs spend that amount of money on a enclose car trailer converting it to a bunkhouse/schoolroom for the older kids and the van. AC, awning windows, portable toilet, and fold down beds but you would have to remove the van when traveling to make room at night. Would come in handy on rainy days.
Ivy and I are on the same page here, 7 people -- is a really big Number -- remember that if you do the double unit thing - RV Coach and Trailer - you will likely need a second site adding to the cost.
Back to the mission at hand - Just back up - take a deep breath -- stop -- now what is the mission? Get a list of what you need to pull this off - first define the critical parts of the Unit so that it works - all else is just emotion and once you get on the road emotion is all gone and reality will set in.
So YOU, DW and maybe even the 12 DD sit down list - WRITE DOWN - what is critical to each of you -- and then discuss to see if it is at all possible in a single unit.
IMHO until you get a LIST of what you are after -- All this is just emotion and emotion is just too short and when you start spending REAL MONEY, emotion really shows how small it is. Figure out what is necessary to do what you are dreaming of and see if it exists.
The only thing I have ever seen that will handle 7 is a Tour Bus with two stacks of BUNKs , like this just need to find something affordable..
On edit; A Super C might work while not an "A" if equipped with Bunks and an overhead bed its set up for a lot of people, JAT End Edit.
Make the list of NEEDs and then locate the Unit that works - Don't make the mistake of buying a Coach then hoping you can make it work.
