Older Diesel or New Gas - Newbie question
Let me preface this by I've read the faqs on gas vs. diesel and have been doing a bit of research. I know diesels will ride smoother, quieter, pull better, and go longer between maintenance intervals...

hey! Thanks for checking on me. It's been a bit crazy on this end. Last week the family took a few days to stay at Disney World. I was sick most thursday and friday, but perked up by sunday.
I didn't have my laptop so wasn't posting much and, to be honest, my wife and I really needed a break from all the RV analysis.
Some good news/bad news....
We've been researching RVs like mad and still haven't found "the one" we've seen some potentials, but nothing we've pulled the trigger on.
We're still waiting on the Excursion 39R to show up at the dealership. in the meantime we've run across a couple others that might work
Now the bad news: I have a new director at work and I was just told I won't be allowed to work remote. It may be possible if I take a demotion but even though quite probably not. What frustrates me is we have other people doing my same job working in different states throughout the country, but I'm being told no. I have a very good working record under multiple directors, but I don't have a relationship with the new one. Plus, he had "a bad experience" with someone working remote in the past.
I have a meeting Tuesday with my director to argue my case.
It's a bit depressing and very frustrating. I won't go into my philosophical solilquy on why I strongly feel I want to do this, I'll just sum it up with: life is short and I am healthy I wand the adventure while my wife and i are younger.
Ok, back to the RV front: we ran across an RV tonight that is at a great price point, is nearby, and looks to be in very good condition. Looking forward to seeing it!
