Onan 5500 Gas Generator

I can't get the generator to run after not using it for about 6 months or more. I am now in Naples, Florida. I can get to start but stops after the initial primed fuel I inputted by holding down the prime button for 30 seconds as stated in the directions. Any suggestions?

    Could be a crack in the fuel line or weak/faulty fuel pump or maybe clogged fuel filter. Unhook the fuel line going into the carb and turn it over and see if you are getting a good supply of fuel. If not, look at the line,pump and filter.

    Thats the reason the book & EVERYONE says to excercise it 2 hours EVERY month. You may now have varnish in the fuel system & top end. Very expensive to have Onan rep. clean it.
