Onan generator 4000

Question

I have a 1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer with 4000 Onan generator.

currently it is not transferring into the coach. Last time this happened, the mechanic showed me a switch ( front of generator - next to fuse) to flip back to on. I have tried this and nothing. Is there another switch ? generator runs- all the questions about generator are answered- can someone advise me of the transfer problem.

On some Onan 4000 generators you have to plug the power cord into the generator to power the coach. Mine is like that and I have forgotten to plug it back into the generator after using shore power.

The automatic transfer switch could be stuck. It is located on or near the breaker box for your Motorhome. If you  can find it hit it with a rubber mallet a few times. This may get it working again temporarily. By temporarily I mean it may work one time or up to a thousand times

Thanks will look I do not recall a plug, but I do remember the mechanic by the fuse box and lifting the mattress and looking under the matress in the storage area.  Thanks for the help

The outlet should be in the same compartment as your power cord.
