Well guess what the generator service guys just told me today Chopper Bob.. Bad rotor and most likely a bad voltage regulator due to rotor. I have the same type of time on my generator to and its 14 years old.. So far he has told me the rotor cost is $400.00 (His Cost) and the regulator is another $300.00. The labor will be ridiculous. There is never a good time for this to happen but three days before a cross country trip really sucks. I am kicking myself for not starting the generator weeks ago but it ran great in December.
