Are you sure the switch on map light itself is on and the bulb is good? - mamabradyExplorerWe just got a used 2000 Georgie Boy Landau. It also has an on/off switch on right side of glovebox. It does NOT operate the map light or the passenger side fan. Anyone know what this switch is for?

- HeisenbergExplorerI had one on a '96 Dolphin that was open on the load end. I am sure it was for an accessory or an add on.
- BigRabbitManExplorerI have a ‘76 FMC and they were all built from ‘73-76. Therefore, it is normal for a new owner to find “mystery switches” as we call them. It can take years to figure out what they do so good luck and happy hunting!
- Cocky_CamperExplorer IIWe have a switch in the dash the controls a reading light, but the switch on the light itself must be on first for the light on the dash to work.

- Rick_JayExplorer III added a switch to our 2005 GBM Cruise Master which switches the dash radio power from the chassis battery to the coach batteries. A little while later, I added a second one that turns on the sub-woofer. THAT one is noticeable when it's turned on! LOL
We have a light on/near the armrests that control overhead reading lights for the driver & passenger, and as others have said, this requires that the switch on the actual light fixture itself to be ON. Otherwise, it looks like the switch doesn't have a function.
