We replaced our carpeting with Armstrong sheet vinyl acouple of years ago. We don't full time, but we do snowbird for 4 months. It has held up very well. We just let it float, no glue. And we added quarter round to keep it from coming up at the edges.
We could not find a way to redo the slides, so we left the carpet on it, and put a throw rug on top. That has worked out well. We also did not redo the front driver & passenger seat area.
We were able to do the work ourselves. We did get estimates, but they were way too pricy for us.
We still use runners, but only because the dogs need them to jump up on the sofa, and down from the bed.
