Our new Nexus Ghost has come home
After a long wait we have finally gotten our new 2017 Nexus Ghost 36DS. We picked it up at Elkhart a while back and then went on a trip around the Great Lakes. My wife had never seen any of them. I have been trying to wait for a nice day to take some pictures but the weather is just not cooperating right now so I took some anyway.
It looks like it is all black on the back but it is a dark red and black. No Sun :(
If you notice there are no decals on the rig. I had them leave them all off and I like the looks a lot better without.
The box between the front seats is a platform that I made for our doggie to sit on. She doesn't like it when see can't see out the windows. There is also map storage under the front in a shelf.
We had them leave out the sofa/bed and had them install recliners in there place. I can attest that they are very comfortable. One evening I went to sleep in them and my wife tried to wake me up and I told her that I was just going to sleep there. About 3AM I got up and went to bed.:B
We also had a propane oven installed along with the convection/microwave oven.
The fridge is a 12 Cu Ft with an ice maker.
Originally there were bunks in this location but we did not need them so we had them install a wardrobe in there place. It was an option of theirs.
There is also a slideout wardrobe in the bedroom.
My wife made quilt for the bed which is a California King.
We are getting ready to take off next week for another trip. By the time we return from it I should be pushing 10,000 miles on the rig. This is not the additional mileage we well be putting on the Jeep also.
Then in December we are taking off again for probably 2 or more months across the southern US.
It is great being retired and not having to worry about getting back to go back to work.
WE had some issues with the rig when we picked it up but we stayed at the factory and had most of them worked out and all seems to be working now. Hoping it remains with no more problems
