Teleman, before throwing a hissy fit about your CA registration fee, you should have checked to see what your neighbors are paying. If not mistaken, NV is about 2% of purchase price/value and AZ is about 1.85%. When I moved to AZ four years ago my registration fees almost doubled. I know it's fashionable for some of you in this forum to bash CA every time you have a chance, but unless registration fees have gone up considerably in the last four years, CA's fees are lower than in some other states.
A) they have gone up considerably, and B) what is 2% of $16k? That's what we paid for our motorhome. Another person with foolish assumptions. Furthermore California deserves it's bashing. Have you visited San Francisco lately? People urinating, defecating, and masturbating in the street. People walking in the stores and loading up bags of merchandise and just walking out with no consequences. Homeless camps the size of small cities in some areas. It looks like a war zone. Our forests are burning up because the radical environmentalists in charge don't allow proper forest management. PG&E has paid off the past two governors and has gotten away with not improving their infrastructure and they cause at least one huge fire a year lately. I could go on and on. It has nothing to do with being fashionable. It has to do with a failed ideology that is infected half of the population of this country and wherever they hold complete power is a disaster.
