over cab sag!

Hello,

We have a 1993 Gulfstream Conquest. We had to redo the over cab area because of a leak. We put in new wood on the bottom and on the walls. When we were working on the bottom area the fiberglass sheet sagged because of our kneeling on it. So now when you look at the RV from the outside you see an UGLY sag! :M Has anyone ever had to deal with something like this, or any ideas what to do?

Thank You!
  • The wood is straight, we redid that. THANK YOU for your response! :)
  • The solution for something like that is to re-bond the filon/foam layer to the bottom of the flat wood. You should have rolled contact cement onto both surfaces and pressed the filon up from the bottom, before tacking down the new wood surface. Can you lift up the wood again to do that? You want to use some 3m Fastbond 10 contact cement. It's expensive but totally worth it. You should also get a rubber roller to get good pressure on everything and make sure the filon layer is completely adhered.
