- photobugExplorerBest way? Not sure what you're asking. We just load stuff up there, don't generally have a problem with stuff falling out. It's easier to put stuff either in boxes or some type of container. I keep my camera bags up there as well as my tool box. I have to put the inflatable kayaks up there because they won't fit in the outside storage areas. Ever since they stopped putting windows in the front, it's not as much fun to ride up there.
- Davion206ExplorerPhotobug, do you leave the cushions?
- pauldubExplorerI removed the cushions and put down cushioned shelf liner. I mostly use plastic milk crates to store stuff in up there. I also have a folding bike up there but it's not folded and is secured in place using a Yakima Blockhead.
- photobugExploreryes, I left the cushions up there, don't really have any other place to put them. I suppose if you're not expecting to use the bunk for anything else, you could leave them at home, couple more inches of clearance and less wear on the cushions.
- ThePowellsExplorerOurs came with that space 100% dedicated to storage complete with cabinet doors and a flip up tv
- OFDPOSExplorerWe left the cushion up there, removed the back one , made it allot easier to get in and out of the seats to the coach.
We put our fold up chairs against one side wall , then used 3 laundry baskets to hold anything from extra shoes , pillows, laundry etc.
They never slid around one bit.
A person could remove the cushion and put down what Pauldub used some cushioned shelf liner.
I know it is designed for so much wait up there, but I certainly wouldn't put allot of heavy stuff up there.. - FunTwoDrvExplorerAs mentioned, removing the mattress makes it much easier to access "stuff". We covered that area with carpet...
Gary - OldRadiosExplorerWe removed our mattress, put down the rubberized non-slip cloth for cabinets and use these Rubermaid bins. The front is clear so you can see what's in them and they open toward you instead of just from the top. You don't have to pull them down to see and get to what's inside. Rubbermaid All Access™ Organizers
- Horizon170ExplorerWe left the cushions just in case and store lighter things in boxes.
Things that are handy stored up there are our bags for taking to the shower if we don't use ours, Small vacuum cleaner, binoculars, etc. Things that won't be affected by the heat if we aren't using it.
Marvin - tenbearExplorerI removed the cushions and made a little fence around the area. The fence is only a couple of inches high but keeps everything in place.
