Overnight Parking near Atlantic City or Jersey Shore

My wife and I are Full-Timers in our 38' Fleetwood Expedition. We just spent last week touring Philly and New York. We are leaving the park we are currently in tomorrow and thinking of going out somewhere on the New Jersey Coast, maybe near Atlantic City to park for the next couple of days before we drive south to D.C. Does anyone have experience with Atlantic City Casinos and RV parking or any recommendations about State Parks or other areas along the coast that might allow overnight parking. Nearly every RV park in the area we have checked are full for the weekend and even if they weren't, we were hoping to go without paying for a park for a few days since next week we are spending the whole week at an RV Park. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
John.

  • Don't think any of the AC casinos that are left are RV friendly. Lived on the Jersey Shore for over 50 years, RVing there for over 30. Can't think of anywhere near AC to boondock - think local ordinances do not allow overnight parking in store lots either. The closest state park (Bass River State Park) is north of AC in Tuckerton, NJ (New Gretna, NJ for mailing purposes). Sites there are W/E only and most are heavily wooded. About 25 miles north of AC.
  • If you are looking for a few days to just lay over, consider visiting Delawares beaches. Delaware has 3 Casinos that are RV friendly. Harrington is great. You can take a 50 minute drive to visit Rehoboth Beach, Lewes Beach, Cape Henlopen and the Delaware Seashore State Park The Casinos are not large like Atlantic City, but are open 24hrs a day. From Harrington, you are not far from Rt404 to head west to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on your way to DC
