Yeah, but you're not a full-timer. I'm one of those weird guys that likes to play with a bunch of toys. Convertible car, UTV, several motorcycles. etc. Even weirder, also enjoy working on and maintaining those toys, thus the requirement of a full tool bay, welder, generator, air compressor etc. All that weight adds up quick, and to be on the safe side I'd rather have something that can easily pull all that weight (and then some), rather than always having to worry if the tail is wagging the dog, much like you would find in your normal class of DP's. They just don't have the weight carrying and towing capacities as a Class 8 based coach chassis has. Are you beginning to understand the reasoning?
You've already admitted that your load will be no where close to the limit of a Class A
My welder weighs less than 75 pounds, a nice little convertible weighs less than 3k.
The new Snap-On work station with a full load is less than 1k.
A full sized Razor weighs less than 1500#
So. ?
Geez Tom... why don't you go pick on the guys who are driving the million dollar Prevosts, Marathons, or Newells and tell them how opulent they're living, and how much money they're wasting by driving such high class rigs. :R
Don't worry about what I'm driving or how ugly it is, or what I'll be carrying. It's my money, my life, and I'll do what I **** well please with it. ;)
