EDD505: Engine choices in Class 8 trucks has changed. Most mfrs. now have their own powerplants. Freightliner offers the DD series and still will install the new ISX. I think Volvo will also install the Cummins. Not sure about Paccar. No one in his right mind wants a Navistar! Cat is out of the OTR market. Part of the problem is the electronics. The engine , Trans( especially the auto shifts), ABS, cruise control, all have to communicate.
