I have the RV770 and have found it (as any automated GPS unit) to be very reliable, as long as you have SOME degree of knowledge and awareness of the roads you will be traveling. But, a prime example of it ignoring the rig's size is the routing it gives going through the NC Mountains. Instead of routing around Maggie Valley to get to Cherokee, the GPS will send you through a VERY curvy road (HWY 19) and elevation changes when there is a perfectly good 4-lane bypass that actually cuts time off the trip and is much safer for a large vehicle like and RV.
