. . .Normal. . .Until you get & install a shutoff valve that installs before your shower head; that is what most RV'ers do so as to manage water usage; especially when boondocking!!! Amazon also sells it. . .

Excellent answer. Even in residential applications, many shower shut off valves will trickle a tiny bit, to let you know that, you've not shut the water to the shower head, off completely with the normal cold/hot control valves. It's just a reminder thing. And, some showers and valves will, for some odd reason, give you that blast of cold water if you've got wet, shut down, lathered up, then opened the shut off valve to rinse and, got a cold blast of water when in fact, the mixture is just as you left it.

So, sometimes, the trickling of the water, through a shut off valve that let's it trickle just a tiny bit, is enough to keep the mixture correct for the rinse operation.

There are many threads where the RV owner with a shut off valve that FULLY shuts off the flow complains of either a hot or icy blast when he turns it back on.

That trickle... Prevents that from happening.. I am not using the Oxy valve, I use an older one I got at Mennards... Works exactly the same way.. No hot/cold issues. Before that I used a different valve.. Had Hot/cold issues.

I had the same experience with my Oxygenics. At first, I thought I had bought a lemon so I called Oxygenics. They told me it was normal and a "safety feature."

At first, I didn't like this new "feature" but now, I'm beginning to appreciate it because it keeps the water warm and allows me to easily take military showers while preserving the hot water. A true shut off valve might save a few cups of water, but if I'm that tight on water, I could always just shut off the water at the faucet.

Oxygenics is the best choice for an RV shower. Love the high pressure of the water. Mine trickles too.

The Oxygenics shower head is great, their hose connections are of poor quality. This is a common issue. They crack at the collar and start squirting everywhere. I've replaced mine twice.

If the water trickling out is an issue, carry an extra couple of gallons to dump into your fresh tank.
