On the steering box, Ive read on this forum that you can get away the (very) cheapy way out, is to alighn the wheels straight with the sterring wheel turned 90° to either side. the center "tooth" on the gear wears out and creates a "hole" that sure can be adjusted, but the rest of the gear will be very tight!.
Also DONT buy "remanufactured", wears again pretty quick... only NEW.
Thanks. I haven't done much else in the way of diagnosis - other projects have gotten in the way.
I have an air ride suspension in the back so I have a big compressor and tank in the back. There's a line that runs up front for the air horns so I can tap into that to fill the bags. If I go that route....may get springs instead. I'm going on a trip in a couple of weeks that will take me past a TA truck stop where I can get it properly weighed.
