Has anyone changed their p30 front wheel bearings. I have a little play with front end off the ground and hold the tire at 6&12. Pushing at 6 and pullin at 12 and visa versa. This may be the problem to my Moho wandering.

The wheel bearings should last for 100,000 plus miles. they should be lubed according to manufactures specs, but they rarely go bad.. With the wheel in the air, remove the center dust cap and pull the cotter pin and the nut lock. Turn the tire slowly and snug the wheel bearing nut with a pair of channelock pliers. If the movement is still there you have play in the ball joints..

This may be the problem to my Moho wandering.A small amount of play is normal The service manual calls of 0.001" to 0.005" end play for properly adjusted bearings.Have you checked idler arm shaft for wear? That is a problem area on P-30's

Looks and feels like bearing. I read the manual I have but 0.001-0.005 is almost like nothing. My manual says to remove cotter pin and tighten to 12 ft lbs while turning wheel then back off nut then hand tighten and back off one flat. Can the dust cap be removed without taking the brake assembly and rotor off?

You shouldn't even need to take the wheel off.If it is out of adjustment, I would seriously consider having them repacked.

I have wheel simulators so I have to take the lug nuts off anyway. The cap is pretty deep into the hub with very little room all around. There is no way to pry it off with a screw driver. Is there any special tool that will take it off? Just googled and found This
