Packing to travel

New to the RV world and just getting started. When you are moving from place to place, do you take everything out of the cupboards and drawers and refrigerator?

No need to take stuff out of the camper, cabinets or whatever. But we do pack with heavier items in lower cabinets and lighter stuff higher up. Also, we use plastic bins to that in the cabinets to help things from moving around, especially when you first open the cabinet door and things come rolling out!

Same here - except I use packing cubes instead of plastic bins.

No special care for dishes (Corelle) or glasses (plastic) or pots and pans - just in their cupboards spread out so there is minimal empty space for them to slide.
  • I put a bungee cord through the coffee maker and that's about it. We put small miscellaneous items in the sink.

Have had three panic stops over the years and everything stayed put. A little noisy from the dish cabinet but no damage done.
  • We carry alot of stuff, never have a problem. Always double check that fridge door is closed,

    Water pump is off
    Hot water heater is off
    Close doors
Close roof vents unless they have Max covers
I leave fridge Running on propane
Close blinds, keeps things from fading
    Lock outside storage doors
    Check hitch and 7 pin
