Folks, I have almost two months before my RV goes into production. This is purely subjective but all the paint jobs on RVs are a little too complicated and busy for me. Consequently I've considered a custom paint job on mine. Two dealers tell me that a solid color, possibly a deep green (?) would destroy resale value. It would tone down the vehicles appearance as well as make it look smaller? Personally I'd wager it would be less expensive instead of all the taping and different colors that go on all the stock paint jobs. Opinions please.Thanks.

As it became older and we had to replace a few parts, like vent cover for stove, hot water access door, vinyl trim etc. Sure wished I had a color that I could picked up right off the shelf, instead of special ordering or had to paint myself because no longer available. IMO

I like fancy paint jobs. Solid will make it old quickly. Big mistake I think but on the other hand get what you like.

Not sure what brand you are having built but with Tiffin any time that you deviate from the standard option it gets very expensive. Even a one color paint job is considered custom. However coaches a high any way so you need to get whatever you are happy with. If you worry about resale now you are buying it for the next guy. Buy it for yourself and enjoy.

personally i think the fancy paint and graphics age a coach faster....they fade & go outta style more quickly.No one ever thinks our coach is 10 yrs old.

If I were to repaint, I would select a solid beige, silver or white variation.I might add a few swooshes or something to break the monotony.I agree with bshpilot and path 1, simple is easier to repair, lighter is cooler, lighter appears clean longer.
