I looked back in the thread and didn't see a reference to drum brakes. Did you? The XCS chassis of the Palazzo has front air disc brakes here. Freightliner implies that drum brakes are on the rear axle. Drum brakes are good and dependable.

You can read there that disc brakes are standard on the chassis but Thor chose the drum brake option while still advertising disk brakes.
