Pallozzo 33.3

I think that when you were told "loaded" that means weight with fuel and fresh water, not including people, food and other provisions. Several months ago the factory told me that a Palazzo weighs about 20,500lbs empty so I did the following math:
Dry Coach: 20,500lbs
95 gal water in the tank: 810lbs
10 gal water in the heater: 85lbs
90 gal diesel: 600lbs
Full propane: 104lbs
Wet coach weght: 22,099lbs
Allowed trailer weight: 30,000lbs-22,099lbs=7,901lbs minus driver weight. In my case, 250lbs so max trailer capacity is 7651lbs with no guests or provisions.

Since then I have heard that this weight was probably for the 33.1 and the 33.3 weighs a little more empty. I have not weighed mine empty but I feel sure that the scale that gave me a weight of 23,880lbs with 2 guests and a light provision load was accurate. I think that with a full coach a 33.3 is rated for about 5,000lbs.

Spoke to factory, a loaded 33 is 22-23,000 lbs.

The max tow is about 7,000 lbs, they use a 10,000 lb hitch which is not to say it can tow 10,000.

A total of 30,000 lbs is the bottom line.

I just noticed that Thor has updated their site so that it says "10,000lb hitch" in place of "10,000lb towing capacity". At least they are technically honest now but it is up to the buyer to understand the difference and the information to calculate towing capacity is still not provided.

I am considering a 2015 F150 for a toad if they put it on a good enough diet and I can wait that long. You can even get road legal seats for the bed and increase seating to 8 in good weather. The only thing to watch on the F150 right now is that you have to get Lariat or higher trim to get a neutral in the transfer case and virtually all of those trucks have consoles. Six passenger seating is available but probably will have to be specially ordered.

None that I heard of, test drove one, stops enough to put you thru the windshield if wanted to, AIR brakes.

Drums are fine.

As to slide issues, all brands have some with the problem.

Difference here is Thor has great factory (and most dealer) service by appointment. Example Tiffin first come basis can be 6 weeks parked in their lot.

They just went to larger motors on the '14's

At + or - $150K it is an entry level DP that has great value and is selling very well.

Seating 6 would narrow your choices to large SUVs or maybe the Honda minivan if children are part of the 6. What else is out there?
