DH probably thought I was slightly insane with all my RV research and bits and pieces we added to our C...including this Awning Lock. That was until he was following an RV on I-80 in WY and witnessed this exact thing happen (and nearly got clobbered by the debris). Now he's thankful I'm thorough and happy to install or go along with my "crazy" plans.
In practice, we've found the lock to work very well. We were wondering whether it would be a problem for the hole to perfectly line up with the pin every time, but it's worked great!
