Pets in the coach

I just turn mine loose----he is to fat to get in the window. LOL

Maybe something like this...They come in a ton of sizes, configurations, adjust ability..

We've watched our 75 lb Shep/Sharp on our web cam numerous times as we left to shop or eat out. She looks out the front window and watches us drives away, and then lies down and snoozes pretty much for the rest of the time we're gone. Occasionally, a noise of some sort will get her attention enough to look out again, but even other dogs walking by don't seem to upset her. The only time she's barked more than a quick "woof" or two, was when a small kid kept running over and pounding on the side of the coach until a neighbor had a park employee speak to the kid's mother.

If he is crate trained, I'd crate him while you are gone. My 13 yr old girl who has been crate trained her entire life, suddenly started stressing last year.

We still crate our boy, but we put her in the kitchen area - pull the bathroom door open and latch it to keep her out of the bedroom, and then put a baby gate across at the other end of the kitchen. She does better that way.

I close the curtains, set the a/c, set up battery operated fans in case of power outage, and let the tv on low.

I keep the dogs confined so they can't get up and look out the windows to see the outside activity.

Do you have him crate trained?
I'd just bring along a crate, and give him a treat to stay in it, while you are away. More than likely, he's gonna just sleep anyway.

Why do you need to block the dash? I have a 120 pound german shepherd and have never blocked anything. We go to the dunes and leave her in there for 4 hours at a time without any problems.
