I own a 98 HR ENDEAVOR that has some wood rot on the floor between the driver's seat and the wall. This actually goes under and up into the wall at the base.
It looks like it would be best to remove the affected wood and replace but I'm not really sure what is under there. I suspect there may have been leakage from the wheel well , slide , and or the window.

One option is to just treat the affected wood with ethylene glycol and boric acid solution.

I am in the process of replacing the carpet , but now I've hit this snag.

If anyone has experience with this please let me know .
Thanks !
  • Look for a product called Rot Doctor. I used on my TT and was able to salvage joists that were 50%+ rotted through.
  • Check for rotted floor joists under the flooring. If they are rotten they need to be repaired and then work the rest of the affected flooring. If the wall has wood framing the studs may also be rotten so it is best to pull the paneling from the area and check their condition. Repair any rotten structure.
  • Anyone who has had a wood boat knows about the epoxy cure. It used to be called Get-Rot back then. Many various products today.
  • You are a fisherman, go talk to a boat repair facility about how they handle rotted wood. There are several epoxies available that will soak in to and harden rotted wood.
