Pictures on walls

Have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage 38 J . Would like to change some of the pictures on the walls but don't know how they are fastened. Need to know how to take them down without messing up the walls. All advice will be appreciated...

  • our 2002 Itasca Sunrise has a metal "v" hook with velcro at the bottom corners, we just had to carefully lift the bottom corners and then slide the picture up to unhook it from the wall. Used the "v" hook and velcro to reattach the new pictures, haven't lost one yet.

I had to pull out at the bottom on the frame to release it from the velcro and then lift up.

They do it so complicated of course because of the obvious nature that it will be moved about while on the bumpy road. But this is how I have seen it done countless times (or similar)

  • Different coach, but ours had an aluminum "J" angle on the wall and a corresponding "J" angle on the top of painting with velcro holding it in place at the bottom.

I would start by carefully prying at the bottom of the painting with your fingers only. You might want to check for some hidden screws, especially if there are any holes in the frame that have decorative buttons covering them.

Our new coach had what looked like some fancy new age art. When I removed it, held on as described above, it was just a poster board with some thick paint slopped on, no glass and a minimal frame. I don't think I could get a buck for it a garage sale. We replaced it with a neat 18" x 24" framed photo of Yosemite "Half Dome".

probably Velcro. that's how the pictures on the walls of our 2000 Itasca suncruiser were fastened when we picked her up back in 2000. the larger pictures had 4-pieces of Velcro, one piece at each corner. I carefully slid a butter knife between the frame and wall until I felt the Velcro and then worked the knife between the pieces. i was able to get all of the Velcro off the walls and replaced them with the 3M Command strips which hold just as well but come cleanly off the walls.
