To OP, when you want to get back to traveling, I would encourage you to check out some smaller travel trailers. Super easy to hook up with a backup camera you yourself. This would give you the option of driving a dead nuts reliable F150/1500 truck of your choice for very little money. If bad luck finds you, a mechanic for those is never more than a few miles away.
Still get to see all the same things and meet all the same people! Smaller travel trailers can be super nice inside!
