Someone else may have mentioned it, but please be mindful of the hours shown on the generator. Most RVers like to "exercise" their generators at least an hour every month under a load (AC running or in the instance of a Roadtrek, the heatpump in the AC unit). Sooooo...a ten year old unit should show at least 120 hours gen use and it should really be a lot more than that. Of course, it is difficult to determine when the generator was actually used last and for how long. The problem most prevalent is that the carbs tend to gum up on the Onan 2800 commonly used in Bs if they are not run frequently. Generators are not cheap to repair. They thrive on being run a lot and are a use it or repair it type deal.
As to the price shown in NADA guides, it is very unreliable in many of our experiences. Bs are a unique market niche and many, many factors determine value. As to the dealers and discounts from "asking price", boldness of the buyer is important. Giving a firm offer for 15-20% less than the asking price is not uncommon in RVs. Much greater than in cars, for example. AND, it is winter...dealers need to deal. Snow on the ground is a great time to buy a convertible and a RV.
