Really appreciate all these thoughts... The collective wisdom on this site is pretty impressive!
Keying in on the generator issue: If a generator doesn't seem to have been used much, perhaps wasn't run at least once a month under load to keep everything shipshape, is it just toast at that point? Or is there something a generator mechanic could do to bring it back up to snuff? If so, is that a big expense?
btw, if any of y'all run across a listing for a 190 Popular that you think I should look at, shoot me a message...
