Planning to buy 1988 Class A to live in

Me and my fiancee are looking to buy a 1988 Winnebago RV. The price is $1800 and we think it's our best bet for a living situation.

I'm curious if A) it's a bad buy? One AC doesn't work (not a huge deal to us) it needs to be slogged, and needs new brakes. All in all, for a RV in California doesn't seem like a bad plan?

And B) what can we expect? We're use to living in small apartments and what not, and in fact when we were happiest as a couple was when we lived in a 500 sq ft studio.

Thoughts and opinions? And any good long term RV parks near Roseville/Auburn california? :P
  • Are you going to park it in one place or several places throughout the year?
I live in mine full time and travel some with it.
  • If you have no plans to drive it and you are just going park it in a CG sounds like a good idea. Will be a nice change for you from living in a big ole cold apartment building! :B

Once you find a CG to park it at that allows residents ask who they use for RV Moblile Repair. They will come out and give you an estimate to repair or replace the ac. Tops if it needs to be replaced would be around 1,000. With any luck maybe they can repair it.

When looking for a CG just ask if they allow permanent residents.

    Good Luck. :C
