Plugged in long term

First winter with the new to us 1997 Winnebago Chieftain.. We live in Minnesota and it will be stored in our driveway. The question is... Can I leave it plugged in for the winter and leave the batteries in it. My thought is that it will trickle charge thru the winter so I don't have to worry about the batteries freezing.?
Thank you in Advance

If you have a three stage smart charger/converter yes BUT you probably have a dumb converter that will boil the water out.
  • We do that but the converter in the RV has a smart card that avoids overcharging the battery. Might want to be sure there is sufficient water in the battery cells.
