No to Polish!
After spending money on every type of wax you could think of, i found the best solution for the least amount of work(and my old 1999 Four Winds never had a lick of wax on it). Start with a coat of 3M Restorer and wax, apply and do not let dry, remove immediately. This will remove any oxidation and start the wax process. Next use Meguires Marine wax, applying the same way, no dry time. Other waxes on top of the 3M would seem blotchy. Do both in small sections. You won't beleive the shine.
