I had that happen just once a couple of years ago while in Quartzsite, AZ. As you guys know, Quartzsite becomes a Mecca of RV's in January every year. I was leaving after spending 5 days with my RV buddies on BLM land. I crossed the hwy 95 bridge going over the I-10 going north (no exit on that crossing), made my left on to the main street so that I could catch the exit for the I-10 going West back to Palm Springs.
I was just inching in all that traffic of which I'm sure it took at least 30 minutes. About halfway through this ordeal, I noticed my trans temp going up too. I think it went into the low 230's where normal is around 200-205 on our unit. The engine normal is about 197-199.
Once I finally made it to the I-10 entrance ramp everything went back to normal. Funny thing, it only happened that one time. Every time I wash the coach (myself), I will spray the radiator area. But, there are so many things stacked in front of each other I do the best I can. I've never crawled underneath to spray 'out' instead if 'in' but I might one day.
