Possible to run heat at night without killing your batteries

We have had this issue with all of our rigs we have owned. We camp with our Motorhome in the desert mostly and never have hookups. This time of year especially when it's cold we will run the furnace...

I actually carry a small Honda 2000I generator with me. I have this same problem when we go to the Punkin Chunkin in Delaware every year, it's in November and there is no hook ups for 4 days straight. The Honda fits in my battery bay for storage and I can run it for 6 hours on a gallon of gas. I simply chain it up behind the MH. A plus is it's super quiet, no need to run the Onan...
