Possible to run heat at night without killing your batteries

We have had this issue with all of our rigs we have owned. We camp with our Motorhome in the desert mostly and never have hookups. This time of year especially when it's cold we will run the furnace...

I'm a little surprised that your 2 X 6 volt deep cycle batteries are going dead in one night of heating. My identical setup will make most of the third night before needing a recharge. Is there something else drawing a lot of power, such as the defrost in your fridge? Something's not quite right!
