Dennis, there are troubleshooting instructions on the Carefree of Colorado website,
Discontinued Products. There's another case running right now, maybe in Tech Issues, where the motor fails to keep the awning moving. Search for that, and see if that thread or the Carefree documentation helps you.
You can find documentation of the connection points. If it was mine, I think I'd set up bypass wiring, direct from a battery, to the awning motor with a circuit breaker in the line. Polarity one way runs the awning out, reversing the polarity brings it in.
I've thought power awnings are nothing but trouble. Lately I've gotten to thinking of the physical strain required to extend the arms. It could easily be the most strenuous part of RVing, and something we all can't handle.
