The so called 50 amp service for an RV consists of two hot feeds of 110/120 volts 180 degrees out of phase and a common neutral.
The 220/240 is there if one chooses to use it that way.
But it is NOT used that way.
It is TWO 120V AC hot legs----50A each leg
One hot feeding 1/2 of AC Panel and the other hot feeding the other 1/2
Calling it 220 just confuses those that don't understand it is split.
