Power Gear Slide out issue

I have a 2014 Winnebago Sightseer 35G. Large slide is a Power Gear..... slides out fine, but when I retract I get a Minor error code 4 - excessive voltage 18v+. I have replaced coach batteries, and issue seems to exist if engine on or off, shore powered or not. All batteries, booth coach and chassis show 13.4v. I can jog in slide, but process is annoying and I am looking for suggestions. Can find nothing on troubleshooting except “bad battery”.

  • PowerGear is now part of Lippert Systems. IMO, the best way is to access the website and call them. There is (or used to be) plenty of info on the website when PowerGear owned PowerGear. And...there was a real live person at the other end of the phone. Hope it's still that way.

    g'luck!

BTW...my PowerGear slideout has no "stops" when extending or retracting. I found that out after popping a couple of fuses. So know I know to watch carefully when extending and flip the switch at the end of the travel (out) or watch the carpet (marks..indentations whatever) when retracting. Do not hold the "in or out" switch one second longer than you have to. If you do...with me, it's a popped fuse. With you..maybe it's telling you too much voltage at the end of the travel...you're not turning the switch off fast enough.

    FWIW.
