Power roller shades
In case anyone is interested in changing their manual window shades I found a relatively easy method of making power shades that are controlled with a remote.
There is a shade motor and remote with several channels (one remote for more than one shade)on eBay for about $45, from China. This fits well together with roller shade available from Ikea. Almost have one done for a test. It does involve modifying a plastic or aluminum tube to fit the motor into the Ikea shade tube. If interested I can give more details.
