- sailor_louExplorerAccording to Spartan:
Hydraulic System
In Tank Filter: Filter part #87610A Nelson
Hydraulic Fluid: All Production Models - AW 32 or AW 46 hydraulic oil
Service Interval:
Spin-On Synthetic Filter: Every 12,000 miles or yearly
In Tank Filter: Every 2 years or 24,000 miles
Note: If your chassis does not have the spin on filter, you must change the filter and fluid every 12,000 miles or yearly.
I have found the fluid stays pretty clean so I can't imagine it getting plugged, but I would definitely change it on a regular basis. It's pretty easy to do.

05 Travel Supreme Envoy - GHOST1750ExplorerDidn't know it had one. What's the result if it gets plugged up? Just curious, I just spent a lot of money on my power steering. Hope it wasn't needless.
- PandKExplorerThink the location has been identified well. The filter is probably white with red lettering. Also there probably is a filter inside the hydraulic reservoir.
- sailor_louExplorer05 Spartan Mountain Master chassis and mine is in the canister too. Any questions about the filter P/N or location just call Spartan with your VIN, they are always helpful.

05 Travel Supreme Envoy - Dog_TrainerExplorerIf you have a side radiator chances are that the same reservoir is used for the cooling fan and the power steering. Mine is located in the back near the engine the filter is in the canister.
