Power step problems

So the wife left the key on while opening the slides to get something out of the RV (2006 31M Jamboree) Battery completely dead. Bought a new battery, put it and RV starts right up. Now the power step is not coming out when the door opens. ? Any help is much appreciated.

    Your rig is new enough to have the revised Kwikee door control which is designed to operate whenever the door is opened - safety measure as I recall. I wouldn't worry about it.

    I think there is a guy on here who has a troubleshooting guide for the steps. The problem is there are so many possibilities.

    Since you just replaced the battery, the first thing I would look for is a hot wire from the step to the battery that got left off when the new battery was reconnected.

    KDG5000 - The steps won't come out at all. With switch on or off.

    Bobbo - It was the battery in engine bay. All the wires are connected to the terminal connector.
