PowerTech Generators?

I walked away from a 2003 Kountry Star (new) in 2003 because it had a Powertech genny because I didn't like the noise. I have had a number of medium size generators in the 8K to 12K range. The only non Onan I would consider would be a Northern Lights. Unfortunately,they don't put them in RVs but had one in a commercial fishing boat and it ran 24/7 for months on end. Never did anything to it but routine maintenance! Have had 4 Onans and never regretted any of them, as long as you maintain them. Had a 12.5KW Onan diesel on a boat and it had over 11,000 hours on it when I sold the boat...all we ever did was change the oil & filters when scheduled. This particular genny had very hard everyday use and otherwise ignored it. Remember, if you don't use a genny, any genny, none of them will last as long as they should.
