I did a similar mod to our C. My DH had installed a bar across the edge of the bunks to keep the grandkids from falling out at night. He used closet rod mounts with one end open at the top so we can lift the rod up to remove it. I never liked the windshield curtain so I went to Walmart and purchased 2 thermal insulated curtain panels, $20 total. I cut them to length and hung them on the bar and I can open the in the day and pull them closed at night. It is amazing too that while traveling the cab can get very hot but when we stop I close the curtain, turn on the air conditioner and the difference in the temperatures is amazing! Makes the living space so much more comfortable and so easy to have privacy. If it's real hot, I still stick the Reflectix panel in the windshield.
