I mention this because you mentioned turning the Jack on with it's own switch. On my coach I have a switching box that has it's own antenna amplifier and there is NOT a separate switch for the Jack. Perhaps if two amplifiers are on this is causing the problem.
O/P said Jack was OEM on his motor home.. (Since it is more expensive than the batwing I find that tough but perhaps the manufacturer buys the hype that it is better than the vastly superior Winegard product).
So, since it is original equipment, from his description, something went screwy.
