You might just test the waters. I live in an HOA but they are not tyrants. Frankly, none of my neighbors and myself want to see a Class A or C or trailer in a driveway forever. I'm OK with that and I knew the restrictions before I moved in.

I would park it in the driveway and when the HOA tells you to move it, move it into the garage like you said you could. There is no sense going to war with the HOA over this. It's where you chose to live. I park in the driveway.
