Robert, I don't believe once the HOA has granted a home owner RV parking, that they can just change the rule and kick you out. I'm pretty sure that RV would be Grandfathered in, but if a new RV was purchased the new rules would apply. That's why I say document everything, even take a video if they will let you.
The point is they're not changing the rules. The rule is already in existence. People are pointing out that just because a person doesn't catch on that a Roadtrek is an RV at first, they can discover that fact at any time in the future and require the OP to comply. Sure, if you want to sue, taking video, etc., will help, but do you really want to prepare to sue over this - the OP already knows there is an issue and this post could be used against him - showing that he did indeed realize that his roadtrek was an RV but chose to ignore the rules.
And as an owner of a small class C that is often used as a second vehicle, I would be pretty pissed if the OP was allowed to keep his RV in the driveway but I couldn't. They're both based on a van chassis, they're about the same size, and they both offer the same amenities. In addition, they are both sold at RV dealerships not car dealerships. It's not a simple van conversion - it's an RV.
The OP can park it and see if it will fly under the radar, but he needs to be prepared to have to move it at any time if someone complains.
