Progressive insurance charges a cancellation fee

Check and see what you state requires you to do
in reference to license plates being on the vehicle.

The son-in -law did what you are about to do.
When he put insurance back on his vehicle and
renewed his license plate they hit him with
several hundred dollars in fines for having a
licensed/registered but uninsured vehicle for
6 months.

If he had turned in the plates he wold NOT
have been fined.
