Bingo. This and nothing more.
And the OP and people like him are the reason they have this “rule” as RV insurance is way less $ than auto insurance just like pleasure vehicles are less than daily drivers.
If the OP were just to insure it as the daily driver that it is (and he can since it’s a homebrew Moho anyways) and not try to get the cheap RV rate, there wouldn’t be this qualifier on the policy.
Regarding whether the ins co can or will require verification. In my experience they wouldn’t, but could if it meant being able to deny a claim.
Been dealing with this similarly for years with teenagers in the house and what vehicle is their “primary” vechicle. Same concept different scenario.
