Dometic, double side by side doors, ice maker. Haven't tried electric yet. Have no idea how to check if gas is lit.
That is what you are doing wrong.. You have no idea.
OK, step one.. You need to loacte the burner and access it without disturbing any of the gas or electrical connections. Now, with the fridge warm.
Have your partner start it on GAS, watch and listen
You should hear a CLICK as the gas solenoid opens and then a SNAP as the ignition tries to light it.. (This assumes it is not a pilot model and I'm fairly sure it is not) if you have even seen a pilot light the flame is not much bigger, but it will be clear
Do this around twilight as that makes it easier to see.
One hopes, that when they replaced the cooling unit they took care of all the maintenance on these parts .. but alas "Hopes" is the key word.
Once this is done, Report back to the forum.
REMEMBER, it can take 24 hours or more to chill out.
Option: Since you had a new cooling unit put in, go back to the installer and say "It not working, what wrong" or.
Kind of like Patric Stewart going in to the singer store with one of their products that was malfunctioning and saying "Make it Sew"
(If you do not get the joke, don't worry about it).
