Propane into my rig

I see Tractor Supply has the 100 lb tank on sale for $99 but it's probably for Black Friday only.

City/County regulations is what will determine if you can have propane delivered on site. Some areas allow it, others do not. Depends on the weather, but we spend last winter in Rockport and only used 2 20# tanks of propane and a very small amount from the large tank the entire winter. As cost of propane/electric was comparable at the time, we used electric heaters if needed in the morning to take off the chill, and the furnace a very few days it was below 50. It was a warm winter.

Most propane companies around here won't deliver to an RV. A 100 lb external tank isn't that expensive but you still have to haul it to and from a supplier. That would give you an extra 24 gallons. I think I bought my 100 lb tank from U-Haul. I see them at Home Depot for $137 or $127 at Walmart.

Pretty sure the OP said that there was no propane service available to the park and not that the park did not have propane. We shall see.

I took it to mean on site fill of your on board tank, as many RV parks have this service, for a price.

It says TO the park not AT the park.

Dennis is right, call around for the best price. Also check the refill price as this may be more than the "Free setup".

The use of a "Tee" works very good. It will save you a trip a week to a propane depot with your motorhome. Once installed, leave it in there, we did that for about 12 years on 2 different coaches, carried our own 30lb cylinder with us and just filled it as needed, never had to fill the on-board tank till spring when we left. Most rv dealers will have the Tee and line in there parts store or available on line also. Good luck, Happy Trails bert
